Hey Kids, want to go on a teddy bear hunt? Bay Area neighbors have come together with a great way to entertain kids who are stuck at home while practicing social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Friendly neighbors put teddy bears in their front windows, then families take walks through their neighborhood with their children searching for bears. These walks — inspired, perhaps, by Michael Rosen’s 1989 children’s book “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” — seem to now be suddenly popping up everywhere! It's a great way to cheer up kids and a welcomed distraction for both children and adults.
And Who doesn’t need a little cheer during these times. It’s also a cute way of bringing the community together in a time of separation. 💗
